Cymric

The long and short of the Cymric are its hair and its front legs. It has no tail to speak of - and shouldn't - since it is the longhaired version of the distinctly tailless Manx breed, from which it descended. The Cymric is also called the Long-Haired Manx. Because of the Cymric's unusual body symmetry with its raised muscular hindquarters and short front legs, a well known brand alternative premium cat food is a must. Proper calcium and mineral balance is essential. Cottage or ricotta cheese three times weekly is a simple and effective way to ensure calcium. All meat diets are a definite not! The high phosphorous/ calcium ratio can be detrimental. Quality high biological value protein and balanced fatty acids are necessary for adequate muscle growth and for keeping this cat's double coat shining.
