Fleas

For cats, fleas are a problem at any age. If your cat has fleas, it doesn't mean that you are a bad pet owner. Cats get fleas from the soil, and anytime the cat is outdoors it is at risk of picking up fleas. There are a wide range of flea treatments available from pet stores and veterinary clinics, but the new range of IGR (insect growth regulator) treatments are much safer than flea collars.

I recommend using new products like Revolution® which treat not only fleas but also ear mites, heartworm and all larval stages of fleas.
